name: wilbur pronouns: he/him gender: male progress: I keep reworking it sobbing backstory: Wilbur lived in a sort of world like dungeons and dragons, but everyone was just. animals. he was in a team of adventurers, consisting of him, his best friend Gecko (a golden retriever), Chance (a Bengal housecat), and Wick, (a snake). They traveled together, doing quests (and odd jobs). However, one day, Gecko suddenly left the group. They were sad, and missed her dearly, but they didn't protest. They continued adventuring, but after a while, something happened. Gecko's face appeared on wanted posters, they heard things about her.. it wasn't exactly new, as Gecko was a chaotic dog, but they thought that she had given that up. However, when they discovered that their former teammate had been performing... less than good deeds, it was a shock. Not one of them had expected it. None were more crushed by her sudden change of loyalties than Wilbur. His teammates tried to comfort him, but truly, they were crushed and perplexed too. Chance was absolutely furious, and she wanted to bring Gecko down for her betrayal. Wilbur agreed. With heavy hearts, they set out-- quickly getting to the battle with Gecko. When it was time for the final blow, Wilbur hesitated. He couldn't do it. He turned away as Gecko died. After that, Wilbur retired. He wrapped two blue ribbons around his axe's handle, to honor his fallen friend and foe. (Although, he could never think of her as one.) He retreated into a quiet life in a small town, but he always carried that axe around with him, earning himself the title ' The Lumberjack. '
