Backstory: He was born into the royal family to eventually succeed the king, if he did well and served the kingdom. Everyone told him stories of the enemy, unnatural beings formed from the earth, and that if they encountered one, they should not hesitate to capture or kill it. Being a member of the royal hierarchy, they prevented him from leaving the grounds. He hated this, and started to sneak out, dressed in a cheap wizard's costume for peasant children. He played the scam games in the town, leaning how to cheat the system by sneezing to distract the vender or swapping the cards/cups when no one was looking, ect. he came home each time with tons of spare change in his pockets. One day, he encountered a band of pirates, with empty pockets begging for change. He gave them 2 bags worth of silver, they thanked him, and left. When he awoke the next day, The guards showed him footage of him giving away money to pirates, who turned out to be Mossy and the others, aka the enemy. He was so mad at himself for helping the enemy, and to make things worse, they exiled him from the kingdom, and sent his older, wiser friend out to look after him. He trailed the pirates, believing that maybe if he brought them in, he'd be reentered into the kingdom, and he'd be able to see his mother and his father again. (im not going to spoil too much, he will be in my [comic/series/thing] if i win this lil bab) His friend warned him that he needed to let it go, but he shoved it off.
