How To Play
Select a difficulty by moving your caveman with the arrows and selecting with SPACE. Help your colony survive as long as possible! To survive your colony must not: -Run out of males -Run out of females -Run out of water Your colony is successful (you win) if you: -Have 3 men -Have 3 women -Have 4 shelters Help your colony survive by having your cave people do tasks. YOUR CHARACTER: You control the caveman in the leopard skin. Control him with the arrow keys. Occasionally wild animals will roam into the camp. Some are non-hostile, and will flee from you, and others will attack your people. Kill them by using your weapons. Press SPACE to attack, and DOWN to switch between a sword and spear. Killing animals will get you materials. GET WOOD: Click one of your cavepeople and they will go into the wild and retreive wood. This wood can be used to fuel the fire and to create certain tools. Give your cavepeople axes so they will gather wood faster. GET WATER: Click one of your cavepeople to send them out to find water. You need water to survive. Water depletes faster the more cavepeople you have in your camp, so refill it often. GET STONE: Click one of your cavepeople to send them out to find stone. This is used to create certain tools. Give your cavepeople axes so that they gather stone faster. GATHER FOOD: Click one of your cavepeople to send them out to gather berries. These berries have different effects and can be used to feed your people. Your people's health is depleted when they are attacked by wild animals, and they will sometimes lose health when sent out. The only way to replenish health is to feed them. Feed them by dragging food from the items menu (top right) to the people. Their health will regenerate over time if they aren't hungry. MAKE FIRE: You can only make a fire if you have sparkrocks and wood. The fire will slowly eat away your wood. At the same time, it will turn any raw meat you have into cooked meat. This meat will replenish more hunger than berries. HUNT FOOD: Click one of your cavepeople to send them out to hunt. Although they will bring back animal materials, they may come back hurt. MAKE SOMETHING: Click to toggle the various tools you can make. You will see the materials needed to make them. If you have the materials, click the image to make that tool. These tools help you in various ways. Send them out with weapons to help them stand a better chance of survival. HAVE A CHILD: Click to add another caveperson to your village. This allows more jobs to be done, and you need 3 cavemen and 3 cavewomen to win the game. That being said, more people use more water and other resources faster. THE ITEMS There are various items that have various effects. -Raw Materials (Wood, Stone, Hide, Raw Meat, Fur, Tusks, Tooth, Leather, Feathers) are meant for no other purpose than to be crafted into other tools. -Food (Mincemeat, Berries) can be dragged from the items menu to feed your cavepeople. If their hunger rating is high enough, they will regenerate health. -Clothes (Leather Toga, Fur Toga) can be dragged from the items menu and given to cavepeople to have them take less damage from hazards. -Weapons (Sword, Axe, Spear, Bow and Arrows) are weapons that are used to have the cavepeople hunt more effectively. -The Axe is probably the most useful tool in the game. It takes only 2 2 wood and 3 stone to create, and it enables faster harvesting of wood and stone as well as functioning as a weapon. -The other items have other uses. Experiement for yourself to see what they do.
