Sowley Level Crossing (AHB)
Game Introduction
The crossing first existed when the GMR was built in 2019 - the oldest version of this scratch project depicted the crossing with halogen lights and had my older design of equipment with a hand-drawn background. The halogen lights and concrete slab floor were replaced in February 2020. The old barrier sprites actually remained until April 2023, and the original yodalarms (from December 2019) continue to remain, even after the full makeover in January 2024! During the proposed resignalling of the whole route around maybe 2026, this crossing will probably still remain an AHB (while the ones in Newleth, Newton-le-Sire, Reskerton and a fair few others get obstacle detection equipment).
How To Play
This is the same project as before, but fully renewed with all my modern code and skins, with the actual Minecraft backdrop too. It was first shared on 20/12/2019, had a few minor tweaks on 19/06/2020, was unshared at the end of 2023 for a full makeover, and has now been re-shared as of 08/01/2024. This was also the very first Great Minecraft Railway level crossing to be recreated on Scratch! "Level Crossing - Sowley Lane, Sowley"
