Additive & Subtractive Color Simulation
Game Introduction

How To Play
✦✦✦ Instructions ✦✦✦ Play around with the sliders if you like, and click the buttons under the colors to see the simulated effect. ✦ Repetitions (1-200) - How many times the color circles are drawn. ✦ Opacity (0-255) - How transparent or opaque the color is. ✦ Backdrop brightness (0-100) - How dark or bright the backdrop is. ✦✦✦ What Is This? ✦✦✦ This is a demonstration of how you can simulate additive and subtractive colors with the pen in Scratch. Unfortunately, the result is rather transparent, but the effects are still quite apparent, so I think it is acceptable as a demo. To the left are the three primary additive colors (red, green and blue). To the right are the three primary subtractive colors (cyan, magenta and yellow). If you click the button under the respective color model, you will see that two colors intersecting results in a secondary color, which happens to be a primary color in the other color model. And all three colors intersecting results in either white (for additive) or black (for subtractive), or at least the closest thing possible considering the circumstances. Note that the effect only works when drawing colors of opacity 1 repeatedly, and that increasing the repetitions beyond 125 has no effect. What I call "opacity" here is actually the alpha channel value in ARGB, which ranges from 0 to 255. Setting pen transparency to 99 does *not* have the same effect since that is actually equal to opacity 2.55. The initial values when you click the green flag shows you the result of simply changing opacity to 33% (repeated 12 times to reach full opacity). As you see, the topmost color dominates the result of mixing colors this way. If you change the stacking order of the colored circles, you will get different results. Try it out!
