Eye Process (and tips!)
Game Introduction
Mini eye process (with tips) Procreate not scratch ... The eye drawings are not meant to be 100% accurate, there’s a lot of inaccuracies, but it gets the job done Personally, I don’t strive for hyper realism, as I’m not a huge fan of it. I’d rather get the basic values and some details done. I don’t want to say don’t strive towards hyper realism but I’d rather focus on basic structure and conveying colors. I can talk more about this if you’re interested. Press space! 1. Sketch - references used are below 2. Basic flat coloring under the sketch, along with the dark lines of the folds 3. Adding color and value - It doesn’t have to be accurate, so I just estimated the colors. I used a basic round brush and roughly layered colors. TIP - the whites of the eyes are NEVER fully white, they usually have a tint of blue or tan etc. 4. Merged the sketch with the color and blended. Make sure to go with the direction of the skin itself. And remember that eyeballs are round, so treat them as a sphere. 5. Details - added eyelashes. I don’t like hyper realism in art, and I usually done add eyelashes to realism, so I didn’t try to make them super accurate. Added highlights, the fun part! The tear duct and inner corners of the eye usually have them along with the eyeball. Complete! Used PROCREATE, basic round brushes TIME - an hour or so Art - Geijutsu References - Pinterest (comment if interested)
