Monthly Drawing (December!)

Game Introduction

I like constructive criticism! If you have any suggestions please tell me! Here's the studio: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/26211508/ My calendar is "Kittens and Puppies" (2020) by Goldistock. That's where I got the references.

How To Play

Space/Click/Arrow Keys :) Okay since it's the end of the year I wanted to add a couple more things in this, so this one has a bunch of pictures: 1. My first attempt (I wanted this drawing to be the best of the year for some reason and I didn't like this first drawing so I did it again :>) 2. My final drawing (I am actually proud of this :O at least right now I am...) 3. The reference 4. My improvement from April to December (I put this in so that I can do a little reflection thingy below) Okay so here are the things I improved on and the things I still need to improve on (I could basically put anything in either of those categories because I improved on a lot of things but I can always get better and there a lot of things I've improved on but I still want to improve... This is just some of the more important ones) This is mainly just for me but feel free to read it! How I improved: ~ I got better at contrast! I am very bad at added enough contrast but I have gotten better :D ~ I graduated from rubbing stick lol I don't really like using the rubbing stick because I don't normally have them with me also they make it hard to add texture, but I don't need to use them to create slightly even shading anymore! I mean it still looks a little rough but that's kind of the aesthetic. ~ I got better at replicating the proportions and expressions and stuff like that. ~ I did not draw an upside down mop where I was trying to draw a cat XD What I need to work on: ~ Backgrounds. I don't normally draw backgrounds because it can take away from the subjects of the drawing but learning how to do that without making the drawing to cluttered would be very useful. ~ Textures. I always have trouble adding texture, and while I have gotten a little better I still have a long way to go! ~ Taking a decent picture of my art XD I think I have gotten worse at this lol it's all shadowy and stuff. ~ Sizing and scale. Like how the cat in the December drawing is too small and the dog isn't tall enough. ~ I'm still trying to get the positioning right! The angles of the head, where the animal is looking, or even just the bend in the tail! ~ Drawing the snow on the dogs muzzle and paws I couldn't figure out how to do it! lol
