Game Introduction
Particles are turned off by default to avoid lag, but you can turn them on in the main menu, though they may cause lag. In that case try out TurboWarp! You can also toggle particles with the O key! However, I attempted a different power up system from most games. It was pretty helpful for my movement script :) - Thanks to @FUNUT fot his screenshake turorial on Youtube which helped with the script :) - Thanks to @FUNUT for his Youtube tutorial on trigonometry curves! I used them in the main menu and juices.checkpoints floating. - Thanks to @romadillo for remixing with new feature and improvements. I referenced his code for the enemy system and used some of his logic for it. I also used his idea of making a spawning system for juices (very similar to the enemy spawning system). Lastly, when adding particles, I used his idea of particles spawning when an enemy bullet collides with the shield. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- >>> Update Log: -4/13/2021: v.0.4: Changes and bug fixes being made since the last update. - 4/8/2021: v.0.3: Difficulty levels, 2 New rooms, Checkpoints and re-spawning, Dash Move, Finished particles (already got most of it done during the jam but couldn't add it yet), New enemy spawn system, Juice spawn system, fixes and modifications with shooting, main menu and juices. How To Play
Welcome to Power Juice! ** New Update ** (NEW) Dash Move (E key) | 2 NEW Rooms | (NEW) Difficulty Modes | (NEW) Checkpoints ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Read ALL Instructions below! >>> Controls: Arrow keys or WASD to move Click/Space to shoot - Aim with mouse Click on a juice in your inventory to drink it or use keys 1 to 4 E to Dash P to Pause O to Toggle Particles (In game) ----------------------------------------------------------------------- >>> Instructions: There are 8 rooms. Defeat all enemy turrets in each room to be able to proceed (or go back). You'll encounter a boss along the way! You'll find some power juices you can grab. You drink a juice whenever you want, you choose when and where. The bar that follows the player is your HP, don't run out or you'll lose! The bar on the bottom right is the power bar, indicates the time left before the effect of the power up goes away. There are 4 Types of juices: Safety (orange) ==> Gives you a temporary shield. Blasty (blue) ==> Doubles your damage temporarily. Healy (red) ==> Back to full health with 1 second of immunity. Time (purple) ==> Stuns all enemies temporarily. Thanks for reading!
