Click to zoom Space/arrow to see a short process (sketch to final) I also just added sketches I made over a month ago, which I didn’t use at all for the final xD Art made in PROCREATE The yōkai/妖怪 I chose to draw was Yuki Onna/雪女, which most people are seeming to do xD i decided to do her for a while, I just didn’t get around to drawing my entry until now I tried to go for a more traditional ink look, hopefully it fits that in someway (Press S for a surprise) Here’s some backstory/info, credit to google “Yōkai are a class of supernatural monsters and spirits in Japanese folklore.” What inspired this entry was when I came across this while researching (just an introduction to the yōkai) “ The Yuki-Onna (雪女, Yuki-Onna) is a snow woman ghost described as inhumanly beautiful, whose eyes can strike terror into mortals that get lost traveling in the snowy mountains. She floats across the snow, leaving no footprints.” I wanted to make her majestic and beautiful, rather than super terrifying, but I tried to create a sense of mysteriousness/slyness to her.
