Game Introduction
None of the music is mine. The intro menu music is from Freesound, as well as the bird sound effect. (hint: press A to turn the bird sounds on, and B to turn it off.) Other music is from other scratch projects. Updates: 7/30/21: fixed glitch where Thunder appears as a border enemy 7/31/21: changed the sunny day and cloudy backdrops to look more realistic! what do you think? 9/7/21: Description edits. 10/6/21: Fixed the glitch when you're stuck in one place after calling someone over as a leader 10/13/21: FINALLY fixed the menu screen layering! (okay, never mind, that will never be fixed X'D) 10/14/21: Fixed the water sound effect disappearing from the stream, but it overlaps with the battle music for Lightning. This isn't a problem since the battle's by the stream. 10/18/21: Fixed a game-breaking glitch with choosing the secondary leader. 10/19/21: Added some dialogue for Clay (The white-furred mongoose in the Pack member's den/burrow.) He will tell you a story about his scars, and it's a little sad. 10/22/21: Description edits. Added a feature that will get you unstuck if you can't move. 10/27/21: Fixed some of Clay's coding. Made it so you don't have to type the exact name of the meeting anymore, just answer with "1"! (this doesn't work anymore) 10/29/21: added battle attack sounds. 11/8/21: fixed the glitch where you'd be stuck in battle with Winter if her health hit zero. 1/14/22: fixed the wording with calling a meeting so Scratchers don't think you have to type 1. That won't work, you have to type the name in the list. 2/11/22: Made a huge update! -Made it so Amber can become mates with Summer as an LGBTQ+ option! If Amber is mates with Summer, you both take care of Summer's pup together! Listen to Summer's story on day 10, and talk to Summer on day 13. -Added the fair... and meeting a certain, friendly mongoose with a story. To get there, go to the pond, and then click the darker leaves. Keep going until you get there! -added a new game with Winter as a pup. 2/25/22: another big update! -added that a certain old friend that may come see you to say hi after you're leader... -If you come back to the fair a second time, Promise will acknowledge you're there for the second time. -I added four new stories for Ember to tell when Amber's a pup. -Added a new area at the fair, a new cutscene, and... maybe a hint towards a new game idea????? 3/13/22: description edits. 3/18/22: Removed the fair "new game" code. 3/21/22: added dialogue for Snow every in-game day after day 11. She has some interesting things to say. happy spring! 4/13/22: Attempted to add mobile controls. To change from PC to mobile, tap the button at the top. Only for IPads and high-powered tablets. 4/17/22: Added a little cute easter egg! Click Amber! 7/12/22: Sorry, this game will no longer receive huge updates! However, I'll try to work on a second faster loading version. My current focus is Here lies a Dark Past. 9/10/22: Working on this again! 9/24/22: Finally fixed the glitch where Promise disappears. 3/12/23: The 2023 update is here! 5/16/23: Fixed Rhinestone's mate path and the pup. Also added Sky. 10/29/23: Removed/changed a lot of the cameos 11/15/23: Removed the option to become Rhinestone's mate until I get around to fixing it. 11/16/25: Secret. 1/13/26: fixed an issue with Rhinestone, becoming his mate no longer bugs out the game. 5/25/2026: The Itch Port is here! Have fun discovering the changes! (Thanks for 3,000 views!) "Pack Hunger Doesn't Work!" It's not supposed to. It's going to be replaced with something else in the 2026 update. "Pebble's training is broken!" I know. It's because I haven't finished it yet! #Amber_Flame (the last one is because it's inspired by Warriors)
How To Play
Amber Flame's 5th Anniversary is on June 6th! Let's Celebrate! :D The ITCH port is here, along with a few bug fixes. I would like to thank everyone for supporting my project over the years.
