Click the arrow at the top of the screen to view the troops, if you have enough cash or levels you can purchase locked troops. you can bring in 3 troops to battle, after reaching level 5 you can use 4 at level 10 you can use 5 some units are free after reaching a certain level if you don't want to use cash.
