He has dark patches around his eyes and a few spots of orange on his face and chin. Long, fluffy tail, but otherwise fairly short fur. Pink, heartshaped nose. Small, dainty paws, three white, one brown. Since then, he ⠀ ⠀ has lived alone, fearing to leave the small sliver of ⠀ territory around where he lives. This fear wars with his ⠀ desire to find belonging again, now that he has been ⠀ without a home for so long. Morph is very excited ⠀ whenever another cat accidentally runs into him, and ⠀ he typically shows it with a boisterous attitude. Mo is easily distracted, often causing him to change the topic mid-conversation (usually with an obscure, unrelated question). One of Morph’s favorite things is to watch bees and butterflies. He is obsessed with change, always wondering how caterpillars become butterflies, though he hasn’t figured it out yet. In fact, he doesn’t even know for certain that caterpillars become butterflies. Often, he’ll conduct experiments with butterflies and their cocoons, as well as with other objects (he’s something of a “scientist” in exploring cause and effect). He used to experiment with herbs as well, but then he tried yarrow and, well….Long story short, he stopped. He thinks yarrow is evil and out to get him—he even calls cats he doesn’t like ‘yarrow’. He tends to create “profiles” of those around him in his head. This is where he keeps track of their behavior, likes/dislikes, etc. and uses this to try to better interact with them. However, it frustrates him exceedingly whenever anyone does something against what he’s previously thought they would do. Though he struggles to understand people, he often doesn’t realize the ways he fails to gain this understanding. Morph is scared of leadership, because if someone were to be more powerful than him, he isn’t sure he could trust them to make the right call. He finds it hard enough to trust himself, so doesn’t think it’s possible to hand over what little control he has to another cat. His things are very much *his* things, and no one can touch them, thank you. Mo all too often forgets to hunt and even when he does he’s extremely bad at it, becoming easily distracted away from the hunt and having no training due to starting his life as a kittypet. In short, there’s a reason he’s extremely thin. Morph has OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), mostly manifesting in the forms of Ruminations and Organization. “[I]deas…get stuck in the head of someone with rumination-based OCD…[and can be] philosophical, religious, or metaphysical conundrums (essentially questions that have no proven answers). People who experience ruminations will be stuck on this topic for a while and might ignore responsibilities while they try to figure out an answer” (St. Luke’s Health). Organization is “…[p]ossibly the most recognizable form of OCD…[which]…involves obsessions about things being in precisely the right place or symmetrical.…If the person doesn’t perform the compulsions to make everything just right, they might experience distress or even thoughts that the lack of organization will cause some unrelated harm to them or their loved ones” (St. Luke’s Health).
