How To Play
I keep using payments as an excuse to experiment and try new things. I probably shouldn’t do that, but at least in this case, I think they turned out well. 1- Character I’m paying for. 2- First one I did and probably the worst. It’s not bad, but the others are better. The design was very fun to work with, I tried a new method of shading metal which I refined in the later payments. 3- Probably my favorite. I was a bit worried if I’d be able to properly capture the majesty of this design, I think she turned out great. Such a pretty design and super fun to put together. 4- No major notes here. Good wing practice. I like the eye. 5- After creating a comic made up of cats, it’s always fun to get to draw a non-cat. I haven’t really tried raptor-likes before, and in retrospect I definitely should’ve put her in a more stable-looking pose (with how I lengthened her body slightly to fit my art style, she should be more upright or have her back legs in a better stance so she doesn’t fall forward :’) ), but I really enjoyed drawing her. 6- I always tend to use fairly thick lineart, so I wanted to see what would happen if I used thin lines. Coloring is a heck of a lot more irritating because the fill bucket doesn’t like all the one pixel gaps, but I feel like the final result is worth it. Let me know if I messed up any patterns. The colors are on a separate layer, so they’re no trouble to adjust at all. I drew most of these in one sitting, so there’s a good chance I overlooked something obvious :’) —— Keeping this to remember about the character.
